Course Description
Advances in adhesive technology and protocols, coupled with an interdisciplinary approach have recently been employed to address some of the most complex dental rehabilitation. These strategies have compared favorably to far more invasive prosthetic reconstructions in mimicking natural dentition in form and function. With that mindset, the goal of this presentation, is to propose novel concepts and protocols to extend the life of natural tooth. These concepts and protocols will be illustrated through well-documented clinical cases that will demonstrate the extreme measures taken to protect, preserve, restore and reconstruct damaged or missing anterior teeth in the most conservative manner.
Educational Objectives
- Compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages of implants to natural teeth in the “smile zone.”
- Learn the advantages of adhesive dentistry in restoring teeth.
- Understand the benefits of resin-bonded fixed partial dental prostheses
