Course Description

Peri-implant soft tissue deficiencies may be treated through a variety of approaches. Vestibular Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access (VISTA) technique has a number of advantages which makes this technique suitable for peri-implant soft tissue regeneration. This presentation and simulated exercise is designed to provide introductory practical experience with the VISTA technique for peri-implant mucosal augmentation. A variety of clinical problems that can be treated with VISTA will be discussed and addressed by the simulated exercises.

Educational Objectives

Simulated exercises will be conducted to provide practical experience with:

1. The rationale and protocol for VISTA to regenerate peri-implant mucosal tissues.
2. Clinical problems: treatment of peri-implant mucosal dehiscence, mucosal phenotype conversion therapy and extraction socket management
3. Selection of appropriate material: connective tissue (palate and tuberosity), acellular dermis allograft, collagen matrix xenograft, platelet-fibrin concentrates and growth factors.

This course contains four hours of on-demand credit. Upon completion of the CE Examination after viewing the on-demand content you will be awarded four CE credits.
