- Understand the role of moderate intravenous sedation in dental care.
- Know the history of anesthesia and pain control.
- Familiarize yourself with ADA rules regarding moderate IV sedation.
- Assess a patient’s medical history to determine IV sedation safety.
- Understand agents used for sedation and their side effects.
- Master principles of airway maintenance during sedation.
- Learn protocols for sedation and medical emergency management.
- Implement IV Sedation as an integral tool for patient satisfaction.

- Phase 1: Online Modules (65 hours, self-paced, Remote)
- Phase 2: In-Person Didactic (March 13–16, 2025, Vista Institute, Woodland Hills, CA)
- Phase 3: Patient Cases (20 clinical cases, 4 days, Vesper Institute, Cincinnati, OH)
- Phase 4: Ongoing Support (Certification guidance and monthly meetings)
