Course Brochure
The treatment options for the atrophic posterior maxilla have evolved over the years to include various modalities of maxillary sinus augmentation, guided bone regeneration (GBR) and application of alternative implants such as short implants and zygomatic implants. Since its introduction in the 1970s, the maxillary sinus augmentation procedure has undergone numerous modifications. There are innumerable surgical modalities for performing lateral and crestal sinus augmentation. Although sinus augmentation procedures collectively have good outcomes, the predictability of these specific procedures could vary considerably. This educational event has assembled the leading experts in this field who will present the latest developments in surgical techniques, biomaterial and protocols. They will present evidence-based protocols to increase the predictability, reduce procedure invasiveness, shorten treatment time and reduce the complication rate. The program will also address the most significant complications, their prevention and management. There will be three workshops on simulated models, plus an all-day cadaver workshop. This is an event which is appropriate for surgical clinicians but may be of interest to clinicians of all disciplines. Hope to see you there.
