Course Description

This advanced course gathers some of the most recognized international leaders in the fields of bone and tissue regeneration to provide an immersive educational experience for clinicians. With a blend of in-depth lectures and hands-on workshops, the event offers participants the opportunity to learn about the latest techniques in vertical ridge augmentation, maxillary sinus augmentation and other regenerative procedures essential for achieving superior clinical outcomes.

Participants will not only gain insight into theoretical principles but also engage in practical, hands-on training designed to develop their surgical skills. Attendees will learn directly from experts about the application of Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) in treating complex cases, choosing between lateral and trans-crestal sinus approaches and optimizing results in vertical ridge deficiencies. The goal of the course is to help participants confidently handle challenging cases involving both hard and soft tissue regeneration.

This five-day event is ideal for implant dentists, periodontists, oral surgeons and other dental professionals seeking advanced clinical skills. The course will also cover key aspects of patient selection, case planning, management of complications and the integration of regenerative techniques into everyday practice to enhance patient outcomes.

Program Overview

Isabella Rocchietta – Vertical Ridge Augmentation

  • Hands-on Workshop (Feb 27, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
    • Guided Bone Regeneration to treat Severe Atrophies: From A to Z
      • Explore the use of GBR techniques combined with non-autogenous scaffolds and autogenous bone grafts to address severe vertical deficiencies. Participants will gain hands-on experience focusing on crucial procedural details to ensure success.
    • Learning Objectives:
      1. Understand the biological principles of GBR and its clinical application.
      2. Master techniques for performing Vertical GBR in severe defects.
      3. Manage soft tissues during vertical ridge augmentation.
      4. Avoid complications during GBR.
  • Lecture (Feb 28, 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM)
    • This session focuses on advanced bone regeneration techniques, highlighting GBR as the standard care for three-dimensional alveolar bone defects. The presentation will emphasize patient aesthetics and achieving prosthetically-driven implant placement.
    • Learning Objectives:
      1. Understand the biological foundation of GBR in clinical settings.
      2. Gain insights into managing severe defects with Vertical GBR.
      3. Learn how to prevent and manage complications.

Pascal Valentini – Maxillary Sinus Augmentation

  • Hands-on Workshop (Feb 27, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
    • Maxillary Sinus Augmentation: Lateral Approach
      • This workshop provides in-depth training on the anatomy and physiology of the maxillary sinus. Participants will practice surgical techniques, focusing on prevention and management of complications.
    • Learning Objectives:
      1. Identify the best approach for implant placement in the atrophic posterior maxilla.
      2. Select suitable patients for sinus augmentation.
      3. Optimize surgical techniques for successful outcomes.
  • Lecture (Feb 28, 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
    • Biological, Surgical, and Technical Complications in Maxillary Sinus Augmentation
      • This lecture addresses key considerations for choosing the appropriate approach in sinus augmentation and managing potential complications.

Robert Levine – Vertical Ridge Augmentation

  • Lecture (Feb 28, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM & 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM)
    • Treatment of the Severely Resorbed Ridge with Titanium Mesh: Key Factors for Predictable Success
      • This two-part lecture explores practical techniques for vertical ridge augmentation, focusing on the use of titanium mesh to achieve optimal outcomes.

Homa Zadeh – Current Concepts of Bone and Tissue Regeneration

  • Lecture (Mar 1, 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM & 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
    • Current Concepts of Bone and Tissue Regeneration
      • This lecture discusses the latest advancements in bone and tissue regeneration techniques, emphasizing clinical applications and optimizing outcomes.
